Henry Schryver was born on April 17, 1829 in Kingston, Ulster County, New York.  He was the ninth child and fourth son of Henry Sheer Schryver and Clarissa Partridge Schryver.

In the 1860 census of the Town of Kingston, Henry was a bread and cake peddler, age 30.  He may have worked as a contractor and cabinet-maker later on in Olive.  His grave has not been located, but both wives are buried in Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston.

He died in Olive NY on April 12, 1883 at the age of 53.

Jane Clearwater (Hasbrouck) Terpenning was the adopted daughter of Solomon Terpenning and Rachel Clearwater.  She was born in 1834.

She died on October 10, 1861 at age 27-4-6.


Hannah (Anna) M. Winchell was born on July 8, 1844 in Olive NY.

In her earlier years, she had kept a boarding house.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, and the King's Daughters' Circle of Brown's Station.  Her father was a pioneer cooper and farmer.  According to her obituary, she was survived by six (6) children.

She died on May 10, 1917 in Kingston NY at the age of 75.


Henry married Jane Clearwater Hasbrouck Terpenning ca 1852.

Henry married Hannah M. Winchell in 1864.
